At Baytown Habitat for Humanity, we believe that everyone deserves a safe, decent place to live. We bring people together to build not just homes, but the foundation for stronger families, deeper roots, and a brighter Baytown.

What We Do:

Baytown Habitat for Humanity provides safe, affordable homes for hardworking families in the Baytown area through a community-based model that blends volunteer engagement, financial education, and partnership housing. Our program includes applicant screening, homeowner education, sweat equity hours, and construction of new energy efficient homes built alongside volunteers and community partners. Families purchase their homes with an affordable mortgage that supports long term stability.

Beyond construction, the program strengthens families through financial classes, home maintenance training, community events, and wraparound support. We also engage corporate and civic groups in volunteer days, which increases community investment and broadens the impact of each build. Every home we complete adds long term value to the neighborhood and helps break cycles of overcrowded or unsafe housing.

  • This Father’s Day, we’re celebrating the foundation of strong families and strong communities 💙🏡

For the past 5 years, Yvonne Briscoe has been a dedicated member of our Habitat for Humanity Board, helping guide our mission of building safe, affordable homes for families in need. As she transitions from board service to continued involvement through committee work, her impact and commitment remain just as strong—because building community doesn’t stop, it evolves.

Yvonne often shares that her passion for service was inspired by her father, who taught her the value of hard work, compassion, and showing up for others. It’s a legacy she carries forward through every home built and every family served.

Today, we honor all fathers and father figures who build more than houses—they build love, stability, and opportunity for generations to come.

💬 We’d love to hear from you: How has your father or a father figure shaped your life? Share your story in the comments below.
